The company was formed in 1997, by Thailand based American manufacturing executives, to facilitate North American investments in SE Asia. A senior “lean, mean & clean” team from factory hands-on professionals was assembled to provide services typically performed by the larger international accounting / law firms, non-focused traders and / or newly landed and inexperienced expatriates. The offering was / is to minimize risks, save time, and especially cost when establishing new sources or manufacturing sites in SE Asia (or those needing improvement). External resources are contracted only as the task may demand. Emphasis placed on client communications, values, and use of our remote skills which allows the client to focus their core resources on what they know and do best. |

Subsets of supplier and project management include: Two way technical communications (English < - > Thai ~ other Asian ) On-site presence ~ specifications, process control, schedule, quality, cost, logistics, service, engineering change control, etc. Problem resolution – spec’s, materials, schedule, quality, revisions, tooling Continuous supplier / contractor development & management with Source Thai’s management, manufacturing technology and quality philosophy knowledge base (to latest Western standards/ concepts) Identifying future problems / pitfalls early – with preventive solutions (a result of being on-site and knowledgeable) Random audits, competitive benchmarking, including HR to insure “to-spec” Coordinating design, manufacturing process, contract revisions Master Document Control with internal E&D capability to facilitate design control and change ~ AutoCAD, ProE, Solid Edge, MS Project our tools Source Thai involves its own internal Finance Officer in all transactions, leaving an internal and external audit trail to call on if ever needed |
